A week of skiing and snowboarding competitions organised for some 2,000 students from Oxford and Cambridge. On the programme: All kinds of events, opening and closing ceremonies, demonstrations, matches shown on big screens, Casino night, fireworks… A fantastic atmosphere which you are all invited to share!
We will be seeing 2010 in to the electro sounds of famous French DJ Laurent Wolf's decks, at an open air evening event. More than 20,000 clubbers are expected at the mountain summit, where they will transform the site into a giant dance floor. Rest assured that the atmosphere will warm up and the ice will melt!
Laurent Wolf: real name Laurent Debuire, began his career at the famous Queen club on Paris' Champs Elysees in the 90s. His career took off in 1995 when the hit "House train" shot to the top of the charts. Laurent Wolf brought out "Walk the Line", a Johnny Cash remix, in 2009 whilst waiting for the release of his latest creation.
This sporting event is open to all quad riders. For three days, endurance races and hill climbs will follow one after the other. A show which will take your breath away, and give the resort all the atmosphere of the Le Mans 24 hour race!
Races will run between approximately 5.30pm and 9.30pm each day. There will be opportunities for the public to ride on a quad.
A pole vaulting competition guaranteed to put you on a high. The best European competitors, including Jean Galfione, Olympic pole vaulting champion at Atlanta in 1996, will be attending. Mind you don't get a crick in your neck!
A full moon is the perfect time for a sky freeride session at night! This very special evening will bring France's best free-riders, including Adrien Coirier, David Allemoz, Olivier Meynet, JM Gouadain, Cédric Pugin, Julien Lopez, Damien Chailloux and, of course, Guerlain Chicherit together on the Tufs face just above the resort.
Fourteen years after the first edition at Rhode Island, the Winter X Games are migrating to Europe for the first time, and will be at Tignes exclusively! This American competition brings together the best of alternative snow sports. On the programme: the Superpipe, Ski and Snowboard Slopestyle, plus a SnowMobile Freestyle demonstration. The technical prowess at this competition will go beyond anything ever seen before.
The Grand Raid is an expert level team ski, snowboard, monoski or telemark ski competition over unknown terrain where amateurs and professionals compete in a race with a friendly atmosphere.
This music festival brings several English-speaking groups together in the open air. Enjoy jiving, rock and pop! Join in the fun!
Telemark skiing fans get together with great ceremony, dressed in their traditional costume. Competitions and slaloms - espace Killy area circuit.
